Microphone picking up PC game audio and desktop sounds in Discord

Press Win+R, type 'mmsys.cpl' and hit Enter. Go to the 'Recording' tab. If you see 'Stereo Mix' or 'Wave Out', right-click and select 'Disable'.
Check 3.5mm combo jack splitter crosstalk
If using a single 4-pole 3.5mm headset plugged into separate mic/audio PC ports, cheap splitters leak electrical audio signals between channels. Test with a dedicated USB audio dongle or Apple 3.5mm-to-USB-C DAC.
Enable Discord Noise Suppression and Echo Cancellation
In Discord Settings -> Voice & Video, set Noise Suppression to 'Krisp'. Turn on 'Echo Cancellation' and disable 'Listen to this Device' in Windows recording device properties.
