Wi-Fi drops connection every 10-30 minutes, especially in games
The wireless connection intermittently drops packet streams or disconnects briefly due to aggressive power saving or Wi-Fi band steering conflicts.
Internal desktop parts run on harmless 12V DC voltage and cannot shock you. Simply unplug the wall power cable first, then touch the unpainted metal case frame to ground static electricity.
Common Symptoms & Tells
- Sudden disconnects from Discord and multiplayer game lobbies
- Ping spikes from 20ms to 999ms every few minutes
- Wi-Fi reconnects automatically after 10-15 seconds
