TPM configuration change prompt loop at startup
The motherboard firmware detects a new CPU or clear state, triggering a mandatory security confirmation screen to reset the Trusted Platform Module (fTPM / dTPM).
Internal desktop parts run on harmless 12V DC voltage and cannot shock you. Simply unplug the wall power cable first, then touch the unpainted metal case frame to ground static electricity.

- Prompts 'Press Y to reset fTPM or Press N to keep previous records'
- Keyboard keystroke does not register or screen loops on every reboot

If Windows BitLocker drive encryption is enabled, clearing TPM will require entering your 48-digit BitLocker recovery key from your Microsoft Account (account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey).
Connect a basic wired USB keyboard directly to rear I/O
Wireless, Bluetooth, or front-panel USB keyboards frequently fail to initialize at this pre-boot prompt. Plug a standard wired USB keyboard into a top rear USB 2.0 port.
Press Y to confirm fTPM reset
Press 'Y' (or 'Z' on German QWERTZ keyboards) to confirm the TPM reset. The motherboard will reboot automatically and initialize the new CPU security state.
Update BIOS to resolve AMD fTPM stutter fix
If TPM prompts continue appearing after every reboot, update the motherboard to AGESA 1.2.0.7 or newer to eliminate the known AMD fTPM NVRAM retention bug. CRITICAL: Never turn off, reset, or unplug the PC while the update is flashing. A power interruption during EEPROM write will corrupt the firmware and brick the motherboard.
