USB device not recognized (Device Descriptor Request Failed, Code 43)
Windows cannot read the USB device descriptor, shutting down the port to prevent bus errors or short-circuit damage.
Internal desktop parts run on harmless 12V DC voltage and cannot shock you. Simply unplug the wall power cable first, then touch the unpainted metal case frame to ground static electricity.

Disable USB Selective Suspend in Power Options
Open Control Panel → Power Options → Change plan settings → Change advanced power settings → expand 'USB settings' → USB selective suspend setting → set to 'Disabled'.
Uninstall USB Root Hubs in Device Manager
In Device Manager, expand 'Universal Serial Bus controllers'. Right-click each 'USB Root Hub' and 'Generic USB Hub' → Uninstall device. Restart PC to let Windows reinstall controllers automatically.
Test on rear motherboard ports directly
Bypass front chassis ports, unpowered external hubs, or USB extension cables which frequently drop voltage below USB specifications.
