Switch Wi-Fi adapter to 5 GHz band exclusively
In Device Manager -> Network adapters -> Wi-Fi card -> Properties -> Advanced. Set 'Preferred Band' to 'Prefer 5GHz Band' and 'Channel Width for 5GHz' to 'Auto'.
Disable Roaming Aggressiveness
In the same Advanced tab, set 'Roaming Aggressiveness' to '1. Lowest'. This stops your PC from constantly hunting for other mesh router nodes.
